A Glimpse Into the Future of Health Care in Lynn

If you’ve recently walked or driven down Union Street, you may have noticed something new taking shape at Lynn Community Health Center’s main campus: scaffolding surrounding one of our buildings as construction work officially begins on a new fourth floor addition.

Over the past several years, LCHC has steadily expanded its footprint across the neighborhood, including the acquisition and renovation of additional nearby buildings that will help support an integrated Lynn Health and Wellness campus. Together, these projects are part of a long-term vision to strengthen access to care while reimagining what a modern health center can look like: rooted in community, responsive to patient needs, and designed for the future.

The current phase of construction includes a fourth floor addition that will provide expanded space for OB/GYN and Pediatric services, helping LCHC continue to care for growing families across the region. Additional improvements planned as part of the project include lobby renovations, an additional elevator, ADA accessibility upgrades, a rooftop terrace, and sidewalk and streetscape improvements along Union Street.

The goal of this project is that impact to access will be felt by patients, staff, and the broader community for years to come. Expanded and modernized spaces will help improve patient flow, accessibility, comfort, and the overall care experience, while still supporting LCHC’s ability to keep growing critical services close to home.

Community health centers play a unique role in caring for everyone who walks through their doors. At LCHC, that mission guides every decision made throughout this expansion process. The work underway today is building a healthier future for Lynn and ensuring the community continues to have access to high-quality, comprehensive care for generations to come.
