Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Marc Levine

On May 28th, the Lynn Community Health Center Pediatrics Department hosted a heartfelt Plaque Dedication and Unveiling in memory of Dr. Marc Levine, a beloved pediatrician, mentor, and leader who devoted 38 years of service to our community.

Held after hours in the familiar halls of the Pediatrics Department — where Dr. Levine spent much of his professional life — the event brought together current staff, LCHC alumni, and Dr. Levine’s family and friends. Together, they celebrated a remarkable legacy that continues to shape our health center and the countless lives he touched.

Throughout the evening, colleagues shared personal stories of Dr. Levine’s steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and deep care for his patients and coworkers alike. Many spoke of his kindness, patience, and quiet brilliance — and how he always seemed to know the right question to ask. Even when every clinical angle had been covered, Dr. Levine could be counted on to offer one more thoughtful consideration that would illuminate the path forward for a child’s treatment plan or help parents feel seen, understood, and supported.

He was not only an extraordinary physician, but also a trusted mentor who nurtured the growth of others with humility and generosity. Several staff reflected on how much he supported them early in their careers, and how his encouragement left a lasting impact. His influence helped shape the collaborative, compassionate culture of our Pediatrics Department — and his legacy lives on in the way we care for our patients and each other.

A commemorative plaque now hangs in the Pediatrics Department, serving as a permanent tribute to Dr. Levine’s compassion, leadership, and lifelong commitment to care. All are welcome to visit and reflect on the legacy he leaves behind — one built on excellence, empathy, and decades of healing.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Levine, and we hold his memory with honor and love.
