How to Get Started as a New Patient

Joining Lynn Community Health Center as a new patient is easy. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Call 781-581-3900 to schedule your first visit.
  2. Bring a photo ID if you have one.
  3. Bring your insurance card or proof of insurance if you have it.
  4. Bring the medicines you take.
  5. If you do not have insurance, we will help you.

Our Patient Ambassadors will help you choose a Primary Care Provider and answer questions about the new patient process at LCHC.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit helps us get to know you and your health needs as a new patient in Lynn.
You can expect:

  • A warm welcome when you check in
  • Help in your preferred language
  • A nurse will check your height, weight, and blood pressure
  • Time to talk with your provider about your health
  • A plan for follow-up care

Most visits last 30–60 minutes.

Language and Interpreter Services

At Lynn Community Health Center, new patients can get care in their own language. We offer:

  • Professional medical interpreters
  • Help in person, by phone, and by video
  • We can help in more than 100 languages

You will never pay for an interpreter at LCHC.
Please tell us if you need an interpreter when you schedule your visit.

School-Based Health Centers

If your child attends a Lynn Public School, care may be available right at school.

We have School-Based Health Centers in 18 schools across Lynn.

Many new patient families use these services for easy access to care.

Need Help With Health Insurance?

If you do not have insurance, or if your insurance changed, our Enrollment Department can guide you. We help many new patients in Lynn apply for coverage.
