Lynn Community Health Center celebrated its 42nd annual meeting on Monday, Oct. 23. A day earlier it was recognized by the MA Departent of Public Health for its Integrated Care Program.

In 2010, two Lynn elementary schools were designated by the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as “underperforming” or “Level 4” after their students performed poorly on the MCAS test. In September, after three years as a Level 4 school, Connery and Harrington were removed from the underperforming list. Lynn Community Health Center School Based Health Centers mentioned as a part of the solution.

Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy will host the 27th annual Breakfast for Scouting on Thursday, October 17th from 7:30 – 9:00 am at the Porthole Restaurant in Lynn. She has chosen prominent local citizens Lori Berry, Doreen Murray and Daniel Small to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community.
