Lynn, MA – January 14, 2025 — Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) is proud to announce the appointment of Drew Russo as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. A dedicated advocate for the Lynn community and a proud LCHC patient, Drew brings extensive leadership experience and a deep commitment to advancing equitable access to healthcare in his hometown.
“Drew Russo embodies the mission and values of Lynn Community Health Center,” said Brenda Rodriguez, CEO of LCHC. “His deep roots in the community and proven leadership in both public service and nonprofit management make him an outstanding choice to guide our Board as we continue to expand critical health services for our patients.”
A Lynn native, Drew currently serves as Personnel Director for the City of Lynn, where he has been instrumental in building a modern Human Resources Department to support the city’s nearly 700 employees. His career spans over a decade of service to the community, including roles as Executive Director of the Lynn Museum/LynnArts organization and Assistant Director of Advancement at St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. Drew also directed in-district operations for longtime U.S. Congressman John Tierney and successfully managed then-State Senator Thomas McGee’s 2010 re-election campaign.
“It is an honor to support an organization that means so much to the City of Lynn, and me personally,” said Russo. “LCHC is a lifeline for thousands of individuals and families in our community, and I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow board members and the dedicated team at LCHC to ensure everyone in Lynn has access to the care they deserve.”
As Board Chair, Drew will provide strategic leadership to help LCHC build on its strong foundation and continue to expand its services, including its nationally recognized behavioral health programs and pioneering efforts in addressing health disparities.
Lynn Community Health Center serves as a vital resource for more than 44,000 patients annually, offering comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services. In 2024, LCHC was awarded a $600,000 Behavioral Health Service Expansion Award to further its mission of providing equitable, high-quality care for all.
